T poem

A year ago today, I attended a tea party where the theme was "Beau-T and Uni-T" and played T related games (After all, it was a Tea party😁). One game was to use a list of 16 words ending in -ty and tell our story. It's not a story unique to me, but it is still my story. In God’s creativity He made humanity. With this opportunity We became guilty; We were in enmity Despite our ability. We were drowning in our iniquity. God showed His charity His sacrifice solved complexity His love made mighty His presence an availability. In our humility, In our sincerity, We received forgiveness which made us very pretty. He kept our individuality Yet still gave us unity.

The Know-It-All

"The Know-It-All" In front of everyone tall glasses sit Potential to be full with 6 wit Some have 1 Others have 2 Most have 3 But One has 4 This One convinced of fullness complete Deceives the others that its glass is at its peak. Ultimately in vain conceit, it is the One who is deceived. Though much has been received, Though One has more than Most, The glass is not wholly filled It is lacking still. No one can know everything Everyone can know something. Why does One pretend to have all the answers And Some pretend to know nothing at all? Together there is greater fullness Then everyone apart, Even a whit of wit is not small When combined with them all. Why do the Others blame the One who knows more But knows not all? As if the One were omniscient And omnicompetent. Everyone fails at something Everyone’s ignorant of something Even the smartest one messes up.
