More Haiku Poems

A random assortment of haiku poems

Spring. Plants bloom, Birds sing,
Green awakes, colors return for
Allergy season

Genteel words spoken
Sweet eyes, kind smiles, yet
Underneath liars sleep.

Velvet petals bloomed
Elegant scent so sweet, yet
Beware of its thorns

Picnic lunch on grass
Sun and shade, good food to eat
And then came the bee

Adventure, danger
New friends and far off places
All found in a book

Walking in high heels
Graceful, elegant, stunning
Then she stepped in gum

Over night it appeared
Golden sprinkles on the ground
Look, so much pollen!

Fragile wings aloft
Fluttering by the window
Watch out for the cat!

Warmer weather shows
Oak trees spattered in yellow
Budding with pollen

Frightful dreaded sound
Evokes fear and quickens heart
Hear the ringing phone!

The clock dictates haste
But the sun and moon proceed
At their own set pace

Looking for guidance
In the early morning hours
A thought: eat breakfast

Falling off the lips
From pain the guilt-laced words slip
Frigid toxin drips

White sheets hung to dry
Ghostly creatures invented
By playful child’s eye
